We Value the Bible
We strive to live out the Gospel
At MacGregor EMC, we believe that the good news of the Gospel demands we live out Jesus' love in our faith, in our lives, and in how we reach out to both our members and our community. Whether it be in the form of sponsoring a refugee family, putting on services at the local seniors home, or providing casseroles to a family going through tough times, we try to live out the good news of the Bible in our day to day lives.
The following are a couple of our bigger ministries, but it is by no means an exhaustive list. If you want to find out more about what we do, or have a suggestion for a ministry you feel could benefit the community, feel free to contact us with your thoughts. During the school year, we meet every Sunday morning at 9:00 AM for prayer, 9:45 AM for Sunday School, and at 10:45 for our Sunday Service. We purposely change our worship styles from week to week and work to incorporate non musical talents into our services to reflect the abilities of the people in our congregation. Pastor Russell's messages always seek to show the Bible in a new way in order to equip and recharge all in attendance for the trials of the days ahead.
Each Sunday during the Fall and Winter at 9:45 AM there are Sunday School classes for all ages. If you wish to know what the class you would be in is learning about this coming Sunday, click here to ask. MacGregor EMC also has a wonderful library that houses many books that not only can entertain but also guide you to a better relationship with Jesus Christ. Our library is open every Sunday.
Our Youth Group (grades 7-12) is done differently from many others in the area. Meeting Wednesday nights at 7:00 PM at MacGregor EMC, our youth program seeks to involve different families from our congregation and our community as rotating hosts. By structuring our youth program in this way, the youth in our program better get to know, be mentored by, and learn from several different people in our community. If you want to find out more information about our Youth Program, click here to see the weekly event details on our events calendar, click here to visit our youth Facebook page, or click here to contact pastor Russell for any other information you may need.
Willing Helpers is a group of women from MacGregor EMC that work together in various ways to support the church and the community. This work includes serving at various local events - such as fundraisers, weddings, funerals, and camp - as well as by getting together to either host yearly events or to set up yearly prayer partners. If you want to find out more about Willing Helpers, or would like to request their services, click here.
Men and Women's Groups and Weekly Prayer Meetings
We hold weekly men and women's groups that gather together to study the Bible, support and pray for each other, as well as just talk and laugh about what is going on in our lives. We also hold twice weekly prayer meetings where we come together in prayer for the church, the community, and all those in need. If you want to know when the next meeting is planned, please see our events page. If you wish to find out more about these meetings, or have a prayer request, please click here to contact us.
